The Covid-19 pandemic resulted in lockdowns, people working remotely and restrictions with in-person social activities. As result, fewer cars were traveling on the Texas roads. The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) reported more motor vehicles deaths in Year 2020 than the previous year. In fact, one person was killed every 2 hours 15 minutes.
