Pick up truck lands on car in SH 105 East crash in Montgomery County, TX
Just after 7 pm North Montgomery County Fire was dispatched to a reported major accident in which a truck landed on top of a vehicle. Units arrived on the scene and immediately started calling for additional ambulances. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office held the scene for DPS to arrive and investigate the crash. A female driver was traveling east on SH 105. As she approached the intersection she went into the center lane to turn into the gas station parking lot. In front of her, still in the eastbound moving lanes of traffic were three other vehicles and an oversize load with an escort. It is unknown if she turned left, unable to see westbound traffic. As she made her turn a westbound Dodge Ram pickup slammed into the passenger side of the Nissan Elantra. This caused the Nissan to spin and caused the Dodge truck to land on top of it. When firefighters arrived all the victims had gotten out of the vehicles. There were three occupants in the Nissan. All were transported to the hospital. One of those in critical condition. The driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries but refused transport. His passenger was transported to the hospital in stable condition. A dog in the Dodge was uninjured. Adamiks Wrecker removed the Dodge truck from the scene. Barsch removed the Nissan from the scene. DPS was able to view security camera video from a business and was able to watch the entire crash.
Driver killed after car stalled on South Sam Houston Parkway on US 90A in Harris County, TX
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A driver was hit and killed after the person’s car stalled on the South Sam Houston Parkway eastbound at US-90A on Wednesday night.
At about 9:20 p.m., a silver Altima stalled out in a moving lane of traffic was hit by the driver of a dually pickup truck that was coming over the incline, said Harris County Constable Precinct 7.
The Altima’s driver, who was still inside the vehicle, died.
Authorities planned to do a field sobriety test to determine if the truck’s driver was intoxicated.
